Create Outlines

Last Updated: Jun 25, 2013 02:10PM CDT
Outlining is a great way to take notes faster, keep lists, and break big things into manageable pieces.
  • Create outlines with bullets by clicking the Bullet Outline button or checkboxes by clicking the Checkbox button. Turn off outlining either by clicking the Bullet Outline button again, or by deleting past the bullet.
  • Use the Tab button on your keyboard to indent any item in your outline. Hold down the Shift and Tab keys together to out-dent (move the outline to the left).

Rearranging Bullets

Once you've created an outline, you can rearrange any bullet simply by dragging the bullet mark where you'd like the item to go:
  1. Click on the bullet (or checkbox) next to the bullet you'd like to move.
  2. Drag the bullet where you'd like it to go, and drop.

Zooming In and Out of Details

Zoom out to the see the big picture and zoom in to see the details by expanding and contracting your outline hierarchies.
Expand or contract your bullets by clicking the disclosure triangle adjacent to the bullet hierarchy.
